Fear, stress and trauma are experienced in our bodies. They express themselves in our posture, clenched muscles, breath and emotions. They can become a part of our self-image, our view of the world, our inability to trust ourselves and others. Many times we try to shove things away through various coping patterns. The body continues to send us signs and signals that we cannot ignore by creating imbalances and symptoms. Through the science of yoga and the nervous system we will learn to listen more deeply, move with rather than against our symptoms, unwind unhelpful patterns and open more fully to our lives. In monthly group meetings, we will use education, posture, tools for self-regulation, imagery, breath awareness, journaling, mapping, and use our physical and emotional symptoms to practice the art of listening and transforming what ails us. It is a way of honoring our symptoms as reminders and helpers in the process of finding and maintaining health and balance.

- work on building a sense of safety in your body
- build capacity within your nervous system to handle bodily sensations
- build a supportive online community
- take part at your own pace
- practices to do between meetings
